Dr. Cindy offers culturally sensitive psychological evaluations for a range of immigrant cases, including Hardship Waivers, U-Visa, and T-Visa petitions.
Benefits of having an immigration psychological evaluation:
Strengthens Your Legal Case with Professional Evidence: The evaluation provides objective, clinically validated documentation of your psychological state, mental health conditions, and the impact of trauma or hardship. This professional evidence carries significant weight in immigration proceedings, supporting your attorney's arguments.
Humanizes Your Story: While legal documents present facts, an evaluation offers a powerful narrative that conveys your emotional and mental struggles. It helps immigration officials understand the personal, human dimension of your case, which can be critical in discretionary decisions.
Documents Trauma and its Impact: For cases involving persecution, abuse (like VAWA), human trafficking (T-Visa), or crime victimization (U-Visa), the evaluation meticulously details the psychological trauma you've experienced and its ongoing effects on your mental and emotional well-being. This can include diagnoses like PTSD, anxiety, or depression.
Demonstrates Extreme Hardship: In cases like Hardship Waivers or Cancellation of Removal, the evaluation assesses the profound psychological impact that deportation or separation would have on you and/or your qualifying family members (e.g., U.S. citizen children). It can illustrate how such a hardship would be "extreme and unusual."
Increases Chances of Approval: Studies and anecdotal evidence suggest that immigration cases, have a significantly higher approval rate when supported by a comprehensive psychological evaluation.
My commitment is to deliver professional, high-quality, and timely evaluations to clients and their attorneys, all within a convenient virtual setting. I am licensed to practice in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Florida, and Wyoming.
Your Emotional Support Animal has the right to live with you in any housing, even if there's a strict "no pets" rule. You won't have to pay pet deposits or pet rent for your ESA. Just remember, if you plan to take your ESA out in public, they should be well-behaved and socialized.
Do you live with a mental health or psychiatric disability, including conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, attention deficit disorder, chronic stress, or learning disorders? If so, an emotional support animal could be a beneficial part of your treatment plan, and you may qualify.
Your Emotional Support Animal:
What You Need to Know & Why It Helps
Getting Started (Requirements):
To ensure your emotional support animal is legally recognized, you must secure a letter from a licensed medical professional. This letter is vital as it legally affirms your animal's role in supporting your disability. Be prepared to present this document upon your landlord's request, as it is a prerequisite for approval.
It's important to note that your ESA does not need formal training. As long as your animal provides necessary support for your disability, it meets the qualification criteria.
